Peer Review Guidelines

Materials prepared in accordance with the rules of the journal are to be sent from the author's corporate mail address to the official e-mail address of the journal: theologyjournal@spbu.ru. Materials are accepted from the personal address in case of absence of the corporate address.

Author's materials are executed and submitted to the Editorial Board in accordance with the requirements defined in the "Rules of manuscript execution" for publication in the journal “Issues of Theology”. Authors are not charged for the publication of manuscripts.

The decision to publish materials is made by the Editorial Board taking into account the opinion of independent reviewers and in accordance with the established procedure of anonymous review.

In order to make a decision on the possibility of publishing a manuscript, the Editorial Board considers it in accordance with the subject matter and principles of the journal. In case of formal compliance of submitted materials with the general requirements, the manuscripts are sent to the reviewers selected by the Editorial Board. Reviewers should be experts in the relevant field and have no conflict of interest with the author. According to the results of the double anonymous review procedure, a part of the review intended for the author is sent to him with a list of comments and suggestions of scientific reviewers with a recommendation to take them into account when finalizing the material and determining the conditions for publication. The Editorial Board notifies the author of its decision to accept the manuscript for publication, the need for its revision or refusal to publish. The entire procedure from the submission of the manuscript to the decision on the publication, revision or rejection of it is made within 3 months.
